Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F6 Surf / Sea State: Big then small chop Air Temperature: 11.5 Sea Temperature: 11.7 Weather: Hail, overcast then rain Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Looked 4.2m in morning but lots of heavy showers so didn't join West
Enders.
Cleared up about 1pm so 78l/4.7m as forecast to ease, and 4.7m was good
size though gusty. Big tides make it choppy, and mid-tide makes it a lot
worse so dropped a few gybes bouncing and smashing round, then chop
suddenly decreased as flows between sandbanks changed and much easier and
good gybe practice.
Usually use 23cm fin with 4.7m but used 21.5cm today and got upwind fine
even against 2 knot (?) current and board more controlled.
Short hail storm as I rigged, and rain as I came in, bit inbetween was
overcast but no rain except looming over mountains. Glad I got out and
makes a poor weather day and good day :-).
